Community Involvement

The entire InfoPathways Team is supportive of many local nonprofit organizations and charities. Douglas and Susan Heck are very involved in the Taneytown History Museum and contribute a significant amount of their time assisting the museum with events and fundraising. The Heck's play a significant role in the museum's annual Holiday of Trees fundraising event by sponsoring a tree, obtaining other sponsors and organizing the details of the tree auction. Douglas also serves as the Chairman of the museum.

Thom Bethune and his wife Theresa very actively support Carroll Hospice and several other local charities. Theresa Bethune also serves on the Westminster Fallfest planning committee and volunteers to work at the four day event. InfoPathways participated in 2007 and 2008 by hosting an Open House from 6 PM until midnight during Fallfest's Midnight Madness event.

The InfoPathways Team also supports the GFWC Junior Women's Club of Westminster by participating in their annual Chili Cook-Off. The all-day event helps raise money for the group. The Team also supports many events sponsored by the Carroll Community Foundation and the Carroll Non Profit Center. InfoPathways organized and led a team of volunteers to wire the entire Non Profit Center for internet access when it was built in 2006.

Both Thomas and Douglas participate in the Carroll Technology Council's Technology Advisory Committee. In 2008, led by Douglas, the committee authored and presented three technology seminars for the business community.

In addition to these organizations and community events, InfoPathways has also provided support for the Liberty High School Robotics Team, A Taste of Carroll, Carroll Hospital Center, Access Carroll, Human Services Programs of Carroll County, Carroll County Public Schools Education Foundation, and Carroll Community College IT Career Paths.

Additionally, InfoPathways is a member of the Carroll Technology Council, the Taneytown Chamber of Commerce, the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce and the South Carroll Business Association.
