PIMS Administration Node

The PIMS Administration Node of the PIMS Main Menu provides long list of options for managing underlying data that defines many of the values that appear in pick lists throughout your PIMS implementation.  

 

 

The PIMS Administration Nodes provides the following functionality:

 

Action Item Categories

Values for categorizing Action Items and Notes.

 

Action Item Status Values

Values for indicating the current status of Action Items, such as 'Open', 'Closed' and 'In Progress'.

 

Capacity Types

Capacity Types define the capacity in which your Organization bids on and works on a Project. Typical values are 'General' and 'Sub'.

 

Change Order Status Values

Values for indicating the status of a Change Order. Typical values include "Approved', 'Pending', 'Rejected', and 'Revised'.

 

Contact Methods

Values indicating the method by which a subcontractor was contacted about providing a quote on the bid/project. Typical values include 'Email', 'Fax' and 'Phone'.

 

Construction Types

Values for indicating the Type and Sub-Type of construction that defines the Project. Examples might include a Construction Type of 'Private Sitework' and a Construction Sub-Type of 'Concrete Only-Curb, Sidewalk'. Or Construction Type of 'Private Sitework' and a Construction Sub-Type of 'Patch and Overlay'.

 

Custom Links

Provides tools needed to define Custom Link Groups and Custom Links within those groups. Read more.

 

Department Types

Values identifying the departments that Contacts work in. Typical values are Accounting, Dispatch, Estimating, Executive, Field, Information Technology, Payroll, Plant, Project Administration, and Sales.

 

Document Categories

Values indicating the Categories of Documents added to PIMS. Typical values include Addendum, Change order, Contracts, Invoice, MBE Documentation, Photo - Pre-Bid, Photo - Progress, Photo - Completion, Specifications, Submittal, Voice Mail and Wage Rates.

 

Email Types

Values indicating the type of email addressed provided for a Contact or Organizational Locale. Typical values might include Work, Home, or Job Site.

 

Personnel Job Titles

Values indicating the title or role of a Contact. Typical values might include Administrator, Chief Technology Officer, Clerk, Contract Administrator, Consultant, Comptroller, Dispatcher, Engineer, Estimator, Foreman, Laborer, Operator or Project Administrator.

 

Phone Types

Values indicating the type of phone number provided for a Contact or Organizational Locale. Typical values might include Work, Home, Mobile or Job Site.

 

Project Attributes

Project Attributes provide a flexible means of tracking additional quantifiable details about a Project that don't fit into the Item model. Read more.

 

Project Status Values

Values for indicating the current status of a Project. Typical values include Active Bid, Bid Cancelled, Bidding, Closed, Lost, No Bid, Opportunity, Pending, Project Cancelled and Work In Progress.

 

Organization

Expanding the Organization menu item exposes Types and Sub-Types. These menu items provide for managing a list of Organization Types and of Organization Sub-Types used to categorize the Organizations your Organization has entered into PIMS.

 

Unit of Measure Values

Values indicating the measures applied to specific Items on a project. Typical values might include Bag, BX for box, CF for Cubic Foot, CY for Cubic Yard, DZ for Dozen, EA for Each, GAL for Gallons or HR for Hours.

 

PIMS Solution Variables Report

This report provides a clean printable list of all the managed lists within PIMS (those detailed on this help page).

 

Application & Session Variables

This page provides a page used for troubleshooting operational problems with your PIMS installation. PIMS relies on the consistent storage of and access to Application Variables and Session Variables. This report provides a quick method of viewing those values.

 

Email Test Form

This page is designed to test your SMTP settings and your server's email function.

This page provides the Data Entry Page for entering and managing the PIMS Configuration values.
